On July 14, 2017 Sophia Zelov, Seiee Kim and Jeffry Burchard visited the site of the new Vietnamese-German University in Binh Duong Province. Earthworks and infrastructure for the 50 hectare site is well underway with buildings beginning to emerge from the ground. The Central Plant is the first, as shown below, providing utility support to the other buildings as they come online over the next 2-3 years.

Phase 1 of the VGU campus will be completed in 2020 and includes the Administration Building, Library, Ceremony Hall, Lecture Hall, Food Court, Dormitories, Laboratories, Sports Hall and Exhibition building.
