Damian Bolden is a Senior Designer at Machado Silvetti whose interest in architecture stems from a childhood fascination with the city and the ever-inspiring awareness that we have the opportunity to change the world around us. Over time, architecture and design has become a means of understanding culture–people and how they live.

Since joining Machado Silvetti, he has worked on a series of projects for the United States Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations and he is currently working on a mixed-use retail and parking deck development in Cary, North Carolina. He is interested in how people connect with public space and is studying how the built environment can embody more diverse cultural narratives through the use of color, pattern, memory, and form.
